We treat your personal data with care. This page explains what happens when you visit our website or make an enquiry.

2. Website hosting

This website is provided through our GMX webhosting service. The hosting provider processes technical connection information, including IP address, time, requested file and browser details, to operate the website securely and investigate faults (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are required only for as long as necessary for these purposes, subject to the hosting provider’s technical logging and deletion procedures.

3. Your enquiry

When you use the enquiry form, your name, email address, travel dates, number of guests and any additional details you choose to provide are transmitted securely to our web server and forwarded to us by email. If you ask to bring pets, we need their number and type. We process this information to respond to your enquiry and take steps prior to a potential contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Alternatively, you may use your email application or call us. No booking database is created on the web server. Enquiries are deleted when no longer needed unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate claims require otherwise.

4. Form protection

To prevent abuse, the form uses a time-limited verification token and a control field that is not shown to ordinary visitors. A pseudonymised value derived from your IP address temporarily limits repeated submissions; it does not contain your message. These counters are effective for at most one hour and are then removed on the next form access. A technical sending receipt prevents duplicate transmissions, contains no message content and is removed on the next form access after 24 hours. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). No external CAPTCHA service is loaded.

5. Availability calendar

Our server retrieves an Apple iCloud calendar provided by us. Your browser receives only arrival and departure dates and technical update information, not event names or contents. Your browser does not connect directly to iCloud for this purpose. The display helps you plan your trip; availability becomes binding only through our confirmation.

6. WhatsApp and external links

WhatsApp, route planners and attraction websites are linked, not automatically embedded. Only when you open a link do you leave our website and the relevant provider process connection information under its own privacy policy. If you contact us via WhatsApp, we process your contact details and message to respond (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f)). WhatsApp Ireland Limited is separately responsible for operating its service, which may process data outside the EU. You can contact us by email or telephone instead.

7. Fonts, cookies and analytics

Fonts and photographs are served from our own webhosting. No Google Fonts request is made. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or our own cookies on this website. Your form entries are not stored permanently in your browser.

8. Payment processing

For bank transfers, we process the information needed to allocate your payment, in particular your name, amount and payment reference. For contactless payments on arrival through SumUp, payment and transaction details, such as the amount, time and payment instrument, are processed by SumUp and the participating payment providers and banks. We use payment records to perform the contract and meet accounting obligations (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). SumUp acts as an independent data controller for its own payment-processing purposes. Details of the relevant SumUp entities, legal bases, recipients, any international transfers and retention periods are available in SumUp’s privacy information . This website does not collect card numbers or load a SumUp payment form. Payment records are retained for the applicable statutory periods and deleted afterwards unless still needed for specific outstanding claims.

9. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
